God’s Grace

Dear Brother and Sister in Christ,
God promises to help you in your time of need and that is made possible by His everlasting Grace. If you have God’s Grace in life, everything will work in your favor. You don’t have to toil hard for it, its God’s gift to His children, an everlasting covenant. “Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.” (Isaiah 55:3 NIV)

Sometimes we get disheartened in life, because of specious hopes, offered from several sources. But the God given grace will never let you down but renew a fresh hope in you. The great benefits of the Grace of God are innumerable. First, the forgiveness that one can receive from Grace, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God…” (Ephesians 2:8 NIV) Second, Grace allows you no longer to be a slave to sin. Third, Grace alone gives you the strength to bear pain and anguish for Jesus. It’s a refuge in times of distress and struggles and any pestilence that strikes you. Fourth, the Grace of the Lord is greater than faith, “So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.” (Acts 14:3 NIV)
The magnitude of God’s Grace is well narrated through this incident: There is an ashram in Tirupattur town in Tamil Nadu, which is flanked by two hills named Jawadhu hills and Yelagiri hills. The inhabitants there were once struck by a deadly disease. Then a brother named Victor who was a social worker at the ashram, gave some antibiotics to the people and told me that it worked. It was an amazing drug. The people were healed and told me, “now there are no more diseases whatsoever, and those antibiotics have done wonders”. The same is applicable for the Grace of God.

I want to encourage you, shift your dependence on the Grace of God alone. No matter how hard you work, His Grace alone will help you bear fruit for your labor. You need not rely on any false hopes and assurances to bring a breakthrough in your life, just with humility receive the Grace of God, which is all sufficient.

As we read in the bible, when Paul was stricken with a thorn in the flesh and he found it hard to cope with, the only means given to him by God was His Grace, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness’” (2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV). The Grace of God is the source for perfection in all our undertakings. There’s no room for you to boast about any healing that took place through your prayer. You should remember it was His Grace alone that brought about the change.
Mighty God I come before you to seek your grace in my life. Your grace alone saves me from the clutches of sin. Rescue me from my pains and struggles by granting me your grace.
In Jesus most precious name I pray. Amen
